New Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of the program, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand commonly encountered retinal problems, how they are diagnosed, when to refer them and how they are treated.
  • Discuss the risk factors for advanced AMD and the new research regarding the genetics of AMD.
  • Understand emerging treatments for neovascular age-related macular degeneration and the complexities involved with instituting initial care and ongoing treatment for the disease.
  • Understand how OCT images are produced and how to interpret a variety of vitreoretinal pathology.
