New Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of the program, attendees should be able to:
- Understand commonly encountered retinal problems, how they are diagnosed, when to refer them and how they are treated.
- Discuss the risk factors for advanced AMD and the new research regarding the genetics of AMD.
- Understand emerging treatments for neovascular age-related macular degeneration and the complexities involved with instituting initial care and ongoing treatment for the disease.
- Understand how OCT images are produced and how to interpret a variety of vitreoretinal pathology.
